Market Access Analyst

Position Description:

MKO Global Partners is growing and is seeking Market Access Analysts in San Diego, San Francisco, Boston and London.  Joining this team of highly knowledgeable and credible Market Access and Pricing professionals will poise you for a strong leadership position within the industry.

General Expectations:

  • Location: San Diego
  • Should be easily accessible by email / phone and responsive to requests during business hours
  • Occasionally project work may carry over beyond standard business hours during weekdays or to weekends, but this will not be regular practice
  • Daily review of pharma / payer environment to stay updated on current events
  • Proof read and edit proposals and final deliverables as needed

Project Work:

Assume project execution responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Note taking during meetings
  • Assistance and management of primary research in support of Consultant or Senior Consultant by recruiting of stakeholders and note-taking/transcribing, and also leading some interviews
  • Conducting secondary research / developing fact packs and becoming knowledgeable on a product, disease state and therapeutic category
  • Track events in the marketplace that are relevant to clients / project work and share with broader team
  • Assist in development of project materials (e.g. therapeutic and payer landscapes, financial models, analytical spreadsheets, discussion guides, pricing assessments, market research templates, power point deliverables and client ready materials) and provide strategic input with direction from Consultant or Senior Consultant
  • Assist with logistics and meeting planning as necessary

Project Management:

  • Organize key project administration documents including statement of work documents, project plans, invoices etc. into shared drive
  • Develop draft of status memos or project update materials for internal or client communication
  • Maintain share drive with latest revisions of project documents
  • Keep contacts updated in CRM database

Strategic Growth:

  • Focus on client satisfaction and efficient execution of projects to help retain clients for follow-on work
  • Assist in proposal writing via primary and secondary research, as needed
  • Assist with the recruitment of payers to expand MKO’s payer network
  • Responsible/owner of a firm building activity – to be determined (e.g., global expansion projects, etc.)
  • Assist new employees with onboarding as necessary

Travel:

  • Expected to be present during key client meetings, including kickoff meetings, interim readouts, final readouts and ad-hoc working sessions
  • Occasionally, travel may be involved for internal meetings including business planning, performance reviews, and training
  • Normal and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed on a regular basis
Market Access Consultant

Position Description:

MKO Global Partners is growing and is seeking Market Access Consultants in San Diego, San Francisco, Boston and London.  Joining this team of highly knowledgeable and credible Market Access and Pricing professionals will poise you for a strong leadership position within the industry.

General Expectations:

  • Work remotely until such time as an office is established within a reasonable distance
  • Should be easily accessible by email / phone and responsive to requests during business hours
  • Occasionally project work may carry over beyond standard business hours during weekdays or to weekends, but this will not be regular practice
  • Daily review of pharma / payer environment to stay updated on current events
  • QC proposals and final deliverables as needed

Project Work:

Assume project execution responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Assume project management responsibilities for select projects by working, communicating and presenting directly to clients with support from more senior staff
  • Develop primary research plan and lead calls with assistance from Analyst or Senior Analyst
  • Develop plan for secondary research / fact packs and become an expert on the product, disease state and therapeutic category
  • Track events in the marketplace that are relevant to clients / project work and share with broader team
  • Lead development of project materials with support from junior staff (e.g. therapeutic and payer landscapes, financial models, analytical spreadsheets, discussion guides, pricing assessments, market research templates, power point deliverables and client ready materials)
  • Complete final deliverables, financial models, analytical spreadsheets, discussion guides and other tools as needed – ensure materials are QC’d client ready

Assist with logistics and meeting planning as necessary

Project Management:

  • Lead organization of key project administration documents including SOWs, project plans, invoices etc. into shared drive
  • Communicate status memos or project update materials internally or directly to clients
  • Monitoring and tracking of all project related costs including recruitment and honoraria,  transcription services, market research facility costs, etc to ensure within budget and invoiced/paid
  • Ensure maintenance of share drive
  • Ensure contacts and projects are updated in Insightly with assistance of junior staff

Tool Development:

  • Lead development of applications and other tools to gather, analyze and summarize market research

Strategic Growth:

  • Focus on high client satisfaction and identify opportunities for follow on work
  • Request current clients to introduce capabilities to other colleagues
  • Identify companies to engage and partner with on projects in a geographic area
  • Propose other opportunities for growth (e.g. presenting data at conferences, developing white papers, how-to modules for tool building, etc.)
  • Lead development of proposals and provide direction to junior staff on primary / secondary research needs and proposal framework
  • Responsible/owner of a firm building activity – to be determined (e.g., tracking of market changes, expanding capabilities, etc.)

Internal Processes:

  • Conduct Project Debrief after completion of major projects
    • What worked, what could work better
    • Feedback to individual team members
    • Creation of 2-4 slide case study, blinded, for BD purposes
  • Assist with training of new and current employees
    • Deliver feedback to junior staff formally once a year but informally on a quarterly or bi-annual basis and after every project (during project debrief)
    • Participate in new employee onboarding and work planning

Travel:

Senior Principal

Position Description:

MKO Global Partners is opening a Boston office and is seeking a Leader to build, grow and develop the team.  Joining this team of highly knowledgeable and credible Market Access and Pricing professionals will poise you for a strong leadership position within the industry.

General Expectations:

  • Build and lead Business Unit, including hiring and growing the local team
  • Establish presence as a trusted partner and advisor to clients on the East Coast
  • Business development, client engagement and management
  • Should be easily accessible by email / phone and responsive to requests during business hours
  • Travel is expected for internal meetings, client meetings, and business development needs.  ~50%

Sales/Delivery Responsibilities:

  • Hit sales target on an annual basis
  • Establish or maintain ongoing client relationships to drive new business opportunities

Project Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and delivering project work, but not limited to:

  • Lead internal/external project teams to the development of quality deliverables with valuable and actionable insights for the client
  • Serve as a key point of contact with client, including follow-up post-project delivery to ensure client satisfaction
  • Lead meetings with clients, including key strategic/alignment meetings (with support from Partner(s) as needed) and regular check-ins (provide support to Senior Consultant/Consultant as appropriate)
  • Manage or provide input to project team throughout all phases of project, including project management, secondary and primary research, final analysis/brainstorm, recommendations, etc.
  • Lead development of project materials with support from junior staff (e.g. therapeutic and payer landscapes, financial models, analytical spreadsheets, discussion guides, pricing assessments, market research templates, power point deliverables and client ready materials)
  • Lead or provide oversight to project manager (i.e., Senior Consultant/Consultant) during internal and external project meetings
  • Support the development and growth of team to be content experts on the product, disease state and therapeutic category
  • Ensure the quality of final deliverables, financial models, analytical spreadsheets, discussion guides and other tools as needed for select projects
